I would've responded better if the comparison made any sense lol. I'm not sitting here getting irritated every time every person who said they might come to a local show and decides not to, the way some people are when someone is 10 minutes late lol

matter of fact I think it's normal for an adult to not go do 70% of the things they originally wanted to do for fun. My argument was to try local music *once in awhile* if you don't already, not to shame people for not doing it all the time lol

I am early to everything. Anxiety spikes if I’m late at all lol

having a kid makes it so much harder for me to be on time now, I still am but the stress of making sure she’s good to go so we can be somewhere on time is like turning the difficulty up. I’ve adjusted and have been trying to be more relaxed about it but it still stresses me out. Last night I got to the DSO show like an hour and a half early. Gave us time to grab something quick to eat but it was definitely not planned lol

i think it is a bit naive to assume that people on a music website have not considered trying the concept of local shows

 

the big head stuff does not bother me like some of the other stuff does lol

don’t put it in the newspaper that i’m mad about having a big brain

 

On the other hand a lot of people on this site still live in the 2000s musically for better or worse (it’s understandable!) so I get nonchalantly throwing it out there

a lot of us genuinely haven't since college and a lot of people who love music have a negative opinion of local music. Josh literally just said something about "shitty bands with only 46 people there" lol and I know that was just because he was annoyed with me but that's still the same shit I'm talking about lol

 

Yeah if he’s been to local shows recently he’d know 46 people is a big deal now
