mastering guitar is very very hard haha. Playing it fine is fairly easy, anyone can do it with enough practice even if your sense of pitch isn’t that good - but there is an infinite threshold for how much you can improve HOW you play, sounding clean and emotional on every chord and every note, having your live sound well-produced with pedal effects and stereo imaging, etc

I AM best friends with @CarpetElf guys. We may argue a lot but I am partially Greek and he is mostly Irish - it’s in our nature. Half the arguments we have are very unhealthy and I agree with y’all on that, but sometimes it also gets overblown and it’s not that serious and we are literally fine 15 minutes later. I love that dude and don’t ever let our tiffs in here make y’all feel like I don’t. He just knows my bullshit very well and I know his very well and sometimes we skip a lot of steps and go straight to “stop doing this thing” but we always make up later

(had four shift beers tonight cause it was busy and they gave them to me free, forgive my heart on my sleeve lol)

 

Interesting, I can play piano pretty decently and am still trying to learn guitar and in my experience guitar has been much more difficult to learn.

 

holly’s fever hasn’t broken and it’s been 72 hours, have to imagine it’s another ear infection or that the first one never fully went away. definitely missing the game.

 

some of its biology and based on hand size going to have exceptions over how easy or difficult it is but once the stretching for chords kinda clicks for you, it’s becomes a snowball rolling downhill

 

I think after so many years of only playing piano I got really used to not really using my left hand in that way. Because that's basically what I struggle the most with, is stretching my hand for certain chords and stuff.

 

nepo baby discourse on this site is so weird sometimes. i get it when it’s someone that’s totally talentless like sam levinson or jason reitman where they’re clearly only getting work because of who their parent is but sometimes it seems like people are bending over backwards to post about it for anyone at all who has a parent with their name in blue on wikipedia
