It’s been pretty well-known by now that Reddick wasn’t going to take what the Eagles were offering him. I also don’t think the Eagles were/are in any position to be handing out expensive, multi-year extensions to players in the 30s considering they very well could be looking at a new coaching staff and retooling the roster as early as this upcoming offseason

I’m not crying over not having Reddick. I wish they got more for him in a trade, but it is what it is. I’ve moved on. Huff stinks out loud. They’ll be looking at edge rusher in the offseason considering Nolan Smith stinks out loud too.

 

Reddick would absolutely be helping the Eagles right now though. Dude’s a great player, but multiple Eagles beat reporters back in training camp last year noted that Reddick was quietly “holding in” or whatever and that he very much wanted a big pay bump after feeling like he outperformed his contract after just his first season with the Eagles

Just was never going to happen in Philly and doesn’t look like it’s going to happen in New York either

 

I’d love to have either Huff or Reddick right now but Will McDonald seems kinda good all of a sudden so we’re alright

I hope Huff turns it around for Philly. Javon Hargrave had a rocky start with the Eagles in his first season back in 2020 before he was a legit force in 2021 and 2022.

Obviously, the team and fans alike would like to see Huff turn it on sooner than 2025. I’ll continue to keep the candle lit, but it has been far from a promising start for Huff.

 

The weird thing is Huff isn’t even being asked to play a lot. He’s played the fourth most edge snaps in two of three games so far. He hasn’t been on the field for many early downs. He’s been mostly used to rush the passer and is failing to get home, getting stonewalled by tight ends, or just completely falling over. It’s bizzare
