i’ve been making perfect the enemy of good for the record i’ve been working on, fixating on bass tone too much during the recording process instead of leaving it for post-pro. the issue with essentially being a one man band. when i was in a band band (mind you over a decade ago lol) i had a role and could fulfill my role and let that be that. doing everything myself im so deep in the demoitis weeds lol. megan will be out of town this weekend so im gonna commit to trying to knock out a few tracks while hilly naps/sleeps and finally rip the bandaid off. this thing has been fully written for like 18 months lol taking entirely too long

I’m just seeing news of Ohtani’s game yesterday. 6/6, 3 home runs, 10 rbis. Goodness gracious!

 

I recognize that this might be hyperbolic but I think Ohtani might end up doing good in the MLB

 

I like that their idea of making the game more fun ignores the thing making it the least fun: the ad breaks and the constant flags breaking up the pace of game

 

What's frustrating about the flags is that I don't think the officials are necessarily doing a bad job. Most of the flags they're calling are things that are happening. So I dunno what to do about that

 

My friend has had this same issue and he sped things up just by working with a producer who understands his vision but yeah that's a lot easier said than done. He started the album years ago and it's finally almost done now because this past year has been when it's finally reached a satisfactory state and he's had someone to tell him "no this is good and you're overthinking it" but still validating his vision and stepping down when it's a hill my friend has to die on

If the Tigers don’t make the playoffs I’m all in on the Dodgers because Ohtani is the most fun player to watch in baseball and it’ll also make the Yankees the most mad

 

If the tigers do make the playoffs and somehow end up being the team that knocks the Yankees out I genuinely will probably be banned from this site

 

I'll be rooting for Dodgers and then the Tigers and Royals on the side depending on who's there
