yes. RATM - legendary, Cornell - maybe the greatest frontman ever. the result of putting them together does not match the sum of their parts. RATM worked so much bc it matched the musicianship of the band with ZDLR’s aggression. soundgarden worked so much bc it matched cornell’s 70s rockstar roger plant type persona with the most musically adventurous band of its era. i don’t blame them i blame rick rubin but the music is fucking terrible
