Yeah I’m kinda surprised too. Maybe The Mars Volta is part of the reason? Last I saw both, they played one of the larger venues in Philly that bands like The National, Death Cab, and Sigur Ros play so I wonder if they felt they could still reasonably sell well at a higher level

Yeah they’re huge. I’m still just kinda surprised because they’ve never played Wells Fargo when they’d come to Philly. I saw The 1975 and Radiohead at Wells Fargo before though. Maybe Deftones are at that level of popularity, but idk

I just was not expecting them to be an arena level band. And they haven’t put out a new album in 4 years, just seems wild the leap in popularity they seem to have had recently. Happy for them, not happy for my wallet for the prices they’re charging
