We actually like the separation down there because it’s gonna be both an office and a basement. The plan is to add a bathroom to the laundry room down there, and make the wall behind the fridge a half wall to open up the dining area a bit.

 

The fact that the 'basement' has all that natural light on the one wall is incredible to begin with. Good luck, hopefully they let you keep the cool Murphy Bed.
