Was easy af to justify a $24 pastrami Reuben though. I’m literally still daydreaming about it lol

and the way they made the pastrami basically was sorta “barbecue” (like not with sauce but it tasted sorta like Texas style slow roasted meat), I’d never had pastrami like that before. So weird I got huge portions of meat like that on a sandwich but you can’t get that by itself for the same price at a BBQ joint

 

Basically if you eat out in New York do something that New York is good at and you won’t be disappointed by the higher price

or just get pizza or a bagel sandwich cause that stuff IS still cheap in the city and those are two things NY specializes in as well

 

had a very affordable and delicious bagel from brooklyn and had an incredibly expensive dog shit bagel from new jersey

 

Braum's is good for what it is

 

When I went to NYC in 2012 I had a lot of New York style cigarettes which are the exact same cigarettes but they're $12 a pack

That might be the normal price now though idk
