But Sirianni was definitely portrayed as stubborn and prideful in many ways I had already heard about, but was worth refreshing myself about

I could see Mitchell ending up being too inconsistent to rely on, but he definitely has a lot of talent in there

the worst reports about him were
1) he didn’t run routes at 100% if he knew the ball wasn’t coming his way (which could very well be a thing coached by Texas cause Worthy did that too)

2) his mood can have chemical shifts and he can be a stubborn dickhead when he doesn’t properly manage his diabetes (that’s a maturity thing, lot of players have to learn how to take care of themselves and stay disciplined with routines)

So there’s definitely floor potential and he could definitely flame out, but if those things can be ironed out as he learns how to be a pro, sky’s the limit for him cause he doesn’t have a whole lot of on-field limitations.

 

Sounds like the makeup of someone who is definitely going to hit the ground running

Eh, if that’s the worst thing I’m hearing about a prospect that’s not too bad. For one thing it could all be smoke that the media blew a few coaches’ words out of proportion so they could say they “did research on his character”. But even if it’s all true… those are very fixable issues if the coaching staff is able to connect with him personally. But if he doesn’t like his coach then it could easily go the other way

It’s not a *total* crapshoot though. Most times you can see why a player did or didn’t work out. There’s exceptions of course but there’s usually a direct connection between concerns about them as a prospect and what they struggle with when they get to the league

my genuine opinion of Adonai Mitchell is he’s a first round talent all day but in such a loaded WR class, any little concern can move him from like 4th to 8th or 9th on most teams boards. Because there’s so many other good options. And I think the diabetes report did that
