There’s been a stray pit bull in my neighborhood and I’ve been trying to gain his trust for weeks. I’ve talked to animal control and they can’t seem to catch him (because our city technically only has one AC officer)

he keeps hanging out on our front porch so we’ve been leaving food and water out for him. He was there when I got home just now but runs as soon as he sees me. Haven’t gotten within 10 ft of him.

he’s got some kind of infection around his eyes, they look barely open. Bums me the fuck out and worry I’m gonna see that he got hit any day now
