They really did a good job with the villain protagonist thing - getting the audience to develop bonds with characters, and then directly challenging them by reminding you this is a mafia show and all these people are shitty lol

Honestly though Josh if there’s one character that the audience is “supposed to love” the whole time it’s probably Meadow, Tony’s daughter

 

Succession is a show i loved when it was airing but have not thought about it at all since it ended

Succession is very very very good and it is also exhausting at times

I watched it cuz Laura made me but I don't regret it, it was great but I also probably would've never watched it otherwise

She’s young for us in the show but she’s definitely got some awooga post-show

 

jamie lynn is a goddess but i mostly couldnt stand meadow's character lol

she has a few really good moments in later seasons but, yeah not very high on my favorite character list

Why do we think Meadow isn’t a great character? Seeing her grow up and begin to challenge her parents hypocrisy and the fake “normal” childhood she had / the farce of morality she was taught is a great character development point & she remains shrewd enough to cut through her dad’s bullshit and challenge him in ways he later talks about in therapy the entire series

i cant stand janice but i think shes one of the stronger characters in the show because shes the only person who can really get to tony.
