Started interviewing with a company on Monday. It's a senior writing position, and the recruiter was like your resume is all about editing but i like you and want you to continue, but not sure how it'll look to the hiring manager. She suggested I write like a mini cover letter / career summary highlighting my writer experience to pass along. Seems to have worked, snagged another interview.

What's interesting is that they have long-term plans for this hire. They want a writer now but someone who can eventually transition to leadership where they manage/edit/handle content strategy. Naturally that's where my experience primarily is, over writing.

Curious to see what happens in the interview.
