Obviously I'd rather have a craft root beer, but the only other major brand I can think of is A&W which is probably on par with Barq's, but I'd choose Barq's

 

IBC is owned by Dr Pepper and is the best and easy enough to access to be considered major

A&W is second I think

A&W and Mug are the supreme Big Root Beer choices. Stewarts is also very good but if I am choosing a Stewarts I am probably choosing Black Cherry if its available.

Also, going to admit to you all that outside of a couple craft ones, I'm pretty sure the only root beers I've ever had are A&W and Barq's lol

 

Stewarts also has great ice cream that is on par or better than a lot of the major brands
