I'm watching the Pats Dynasty thing that's on Apple TV and the Aaron Hernandez episode is such a painfully awkward watch whenever Bill is on screen. I'm not naive and I know every coach would have done the same, but when they ask him about the "why didn't you trade him to the west coast when he asked" thing comes up and Bill just does his no comment shit it enrages me. These fuckers need to held accountable for all of the red flags that seemed to be very apparent in the locker room (and yes I mean every team whenever something comes up.) Not that they necessarily could have predicted he'd m*rder someone(s), but the "football player good = no consequences" shit needs to die

 

Agreed 100%. I think Ernie Adams kept calling it the Business of Football or whatever, but it's just fucking gross. Winning is paramount but there are things, few and far between for sure, that should supersede it and one is "this dude isn't safe for his 52 teammates to hang out with after work"
