I posted this in my Discord but I don't know what the Texans are thinking and Vikings moving up for a QB makes me think of those NBA 3 way trades where its like "the Lakers get Giannis and considerations from the Bucks in exchange for LeBron and AD and 5 billion dollars and also the Kings are involved and they get a Big Mac with no cheese", and the Texans are the Kings in this scenario

 

Minnesota has been talking to Arizona. Los Angeles has also been rumored to want to trade back. Arizona wants Marvin Harrison Jr.

If Arizona trades, then that's bad news for Dave.

 

Why would it be bad news for Dave if the Cardinals trade back to its the Vikings?

If Pats don't trade back AND don't take a QB at 3 there's a lot of things I'd do, and none would involve the lego pleasure toy

 

Are we living in a world where they've scouted both Maye and Daniels and believe both of them are studs?

 

There needs to be serious leaps from the top 2025 QBs before they can match what we've got here and it's very possible they downturn more than they improve. I don't think it's worth the gamble to hop down

 

my hot take is Minnesota is the 4th best team in the NFC North next year no matter which of the non-Caleb rookie QBs they get

 

Basically: If they only love one, and they're not available, sure fine, trade back. If they don't love either, absolutely trade back. If they love both, no thanks unless the offer is so absurd, so crazy that I can't not take it. 11+23+2025 1st is only "good."

That's my read too. If Minnesota wants to offer us 11+23+2025 1st+2026 1st+Justin Jefferson or something along those lines of "You're a fucking idiot" then sure, and I'll go snag Fields and deal with it later. But otherwise I'm holding the line.

Yeah like I love Quinn Ewers now but when he exited Southlake Carroll he was the next Trevor Lawrence and so far he's good but he is NOT Trevor Lawrence and has a lot of growing to do still as a player, and the other guys in his tier are similar

As pats GM I would do this (if I didn't love Maye/Daniels), don't think Vikings would. But I'd at least set the price here if Vikings are willing to get their QB
