we all share evenly with all the other servers and the bartenders

trying to be a good sport about it cause it’s the only fair way to run a restaurant, even though I’m taking on more work than everybody it would damage morale if one server got all the best sections and money opportunities. Especially the bar, who do make drinks for me all night, we don’t get a WHOLE lot of bar traffic so she’d be consistently underpaid if it was “keep your own tips” even if we all did tip out

but at a certain point. I’m pulling the receipts and showing them I frequently made double the next server on Fridays and Saturdays. And saying it’s time for them to pay me extra if they want to keep a server who can handle 40 covers, average $100+ per person, sell 50% of our nightly stock of specials that they spend money developing, make zero mistakes and make the VIP guests love me. The talent pool is way too thin in Baltimore for them to expect to find another me so I think it’ll be pretty convincing. Feel pretty confident my managers will empathize with me going home with less than half the money I earned every weekend
