This gets said about every coach. They went from super bowl contender to a non-playoff team despite having arguably the MVP, OPOY, AND DPOY.

I’m saying I don’t think a 30 year old edge rusher, even a pretty productive one, is a blue chip prospect. Is he closer to being an all pro or a salary cap cut?

My understanding is that the Bengals defense is comprised of Trey Hendrickson and no one else worth mentioning. They've let Jessie Bates and DJ Reader go. They got good play out of Chidobe Awuzie in 2021 as well before he missed half of the 2022 season due to injury and seemingly hasn't been the same since. They haven't done a good job drafting and replacing the older veterans on the roster, which leads us to where they are now.
