I am very partial to Alkaline Trio’s FHTI/Good Mourning/Crimson/A&I run, but I know a lot of fans aren’t as high on A&I as I am, and obviously I know they didn’t write any jams there nearly as big as what JEW put out hah

 

alk3 was my favorite band throughout high school, but I would start the run at goddamnit and take it thru GM. :) I will say they don’t hold up as well for me as JEW or DCFC.

My ex was pregnant around the same time as Laura and after we miscarried I learned she had the same due date Laura was supposed to have so my kids have a sibling with that birthday which is cool but heartbreaking too.

My family has not been shitty to Laura in general but it does seem like they give my kids’ mom a lot more compassion and thoughtfulness than they do to Laura because she “gave them kids” or whatever which really sucks

 

Laura saw me typing this and was like “are you really still talking about Jimmy Eat World” lmao

I saw my grandpa this past weekend and I walked into his house and the first thing he told me was “ese you are getting fatter and still no girlfriend with you”

he then spent the next 5 minutes berating me and I was like sigh

Im in the middle. I am still a fan of KD’s music, but also find it sketchy and spineless he sees Jesse grooming teenage girls as “people can change” and “I’ve known him 30 years if no one else will forgive him I will”, but that’s also not gonna have the same effect on me listening to him as BN themselves. He’s thankfully not been public about defending Jesse in any way and its ultimately not my place I feel, to stalk his social media activity and judge him for likes and comments. At no point in his public statements did he ever prioritize his “he’s my friend” take over the importance of taking the abuse rumors seriously, and if he did cross that line I’d be having a very different take on all this.
