The Prince Street Pizza site goes out of its way to say they use methods to replicate the NY location in other locations

Maybe it’s superstitious but I sorta believe New Yorkers when they say “it’s the water”. But I bet they actually ship New York water to the other locations too, I’ve heard of that before, so idk

all I know is I had it 3 times when I visited and I would rank all 3 of those times in my top 5 pizza lol

 

I went out of my way / took a different subway line than I take to the train station, and risked being late to my train home; to have it one last time before I left that’s how good it was to me haha

Pizza’s often “good” but that was the first time I tried one where I would separately rate the crust, the sauce, AND the pepperoni as 10/10 and a level beyond the best crust / best sauce / best pepperoni I’d had before anywhere else

 

I'd give the crust a 4 the sauce an 8 and the pepperoni a 10 but I think the cheese choices weren't great (I'd say like a 3) and also didn't mesh with the pepperoni well

 

neither brooklyn nor new york style is the square slice, both styles are the foldable large slice but brooklyn style is more thin crispier crust. Sicilian style is good and definitely evolved in brooklyn but its its own thing entirely.

To my knowledge, we have one (1) Detroit style pizza place in this town and it's pretty great so trying actual *good* Detroit style is def high on my list.

I enjoy all forms of pizza but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Chicago style

 

The crust part is wild haha. Cause the crust especially, on both Prince Street and Greenmount (Brooklyn Style) pizza, was like, it changed how I look at pizza lol. I realized I’ve mostly eaten shitty crust pizzas my whole life and the bread itself should taste amazing and have amazing texture and not just be a vehicle for the toppings. Did yours just get soggy or somethin? I was surprised cause I’d never had square cut Sicilian style pizza that wasn’t soggy until then
