Darnold was an average prospect that turned into a bad QB and after like 5 or 6 years finally puts together a good season. McCarthy is a better prospect, younger, and cost controlled. The idea is if you can get this out of Darnold then you absolutely can out of JJ

 

I mean there’s def no way to know yet what McCarthy will be and your post is very logical.

But if KOC can turn 7 year bust Sam Darnold into an MVP candidate then maybe just maybe they’d be fine giving him a chance with a young promising QB who will be way, way cheaper.

I’m just very happy for Vikings fans (my father in law) because he’s seen some shit for his whole life and finally it feels like the Vikings are a stable and real organization on their way to an amazing season in what should have been a bridge year!!
