There was sort of a tornado in SF just recently. Don't know that it'd qualify to be a tornado by any definition, but twirling winds fucked shit up.

One time when I was working in a painting/wallcovering subcontractor office I went into the warehouse to have a cigarette, and raised the warehouse door and a tornado funnel was down the street so I just kinda stared at it as I reached over to shut the warehouse door again
