Growing up Christmas Day was the main event/meal. We didn’t have a usual main course. Some sort of roast, I guess.

I married into a Christmas Eve family. And they usually have stuffed shells, for some reason. Which are delicious.

 

my mom likes to make a ham or a roast for christmas when she hosts

 

It’s always been ham at my parents.

 

Maybe it's just me spending most of my Christmases in a very Italian family, but I did a triple take when Kyle Crabbs said "Christmas is basically just thanksgiving redux"

 

Can you imagine?

 

I feel like the two standards for the whites are ham and prime rib.

And yeah, they're basically just replacing the turkey from Thanksgiving, and there's usually no cranberry sauce.

 

I get it all white people food looks the same

My mom did start making stuffing for Christmas so it basically is thanksgiving but with ham.

 

Christmas Eve we always did some version of 7 fishes. Looots of seafood and my great grandmother/then grandmother/ now mother would make me a chicken cutlet (I'm not a big seafood guy) and then Christmas Day, Dinner would have some ham and ziti action

i'm hungry now but the office is getting mexican food catered today around noon
