and again you used Uhaul. You drove yourself. That’s different from a moving company that brings their own truck and controls those factors

Just gonna throw this out there and see what people say, but I think one of the best assets a poster can have is posting their opinion on something, and then moving on to a different topic like ghosts or energy drinks. Just saying.

 

I think it's fair to say that either:
1. our local places just suck
2. we had bad luck rather than them having good luck considering how many frequent good experiences are being quoted here
3. both 1 and 2

I'm going with #2 for my own experiences, if this many people are saying they got affordable and reliable service I'm willing to believe it's very out there and I just didn't find it

 

You are using your experience to make blanket statements that aren't true though haha

 

I’ve heard of a lot of people having a lot of awful experiences with moving companies and this attitude that they were just dumb about it is obnoxious

Yeah, you kinda are lucky if you haven’t gotten scammed by movers at least once. We can end the conversation there if you disagree.

Bellhop app probably the worst experience though, used them when we moved apartments. Movers were like 15 minutes late, which is whatever. They start moving and get everything loaded, one of the movers drove separately from the truck and was gonna meet them at our new place. They decided to stop and get McDonald’s breakfast on the way and got to the new place 20 or so minutes after the truck.

they also worked like 30 minutes past our allotted time and still charged us fees for that even though they were late to start lol

 

The chipotle I was a GENERAL manager at was haunted.
