They won a lot of games last year, but that didn’t stop them from delaying their end of season press conference to have meetings about whether or not they were going to fire Sirianni. I know they had a late season skid, lost the division to Dallas, and then got blown out in Tampa, but those possibilities are still very much on the table this season.

Based on all the reporting out of Philly, this whole season has nothing to do with the regular season. It’s results in the playoffs that matter.

 

Haven’t listened to Danger Days in a looooong time

cannot for the life of me get into like 80% of Danger Days. have tried. many, many times. love SCARECROW and Vampire Money, Kids from Yesterday. everything else can get bent.

It’s also worth remembering that they started 10-1 last season. Let’s not get too carried away with a five-game winning streak against the Browns, Giants, Bengals, Jaguars, and Cowboys on their way to a 7-2 record. Still a lot of time left to fuck things up.

Obviously, would much rather start 7-2 than 2-7. I entered this season wanting to believe in these players and this coaching staff. I think they have a lot of talent in that building. It’s just so conflicting because I believe in Sirianni’s ability to create a positive culture, but I do not believe in some of his in-game decision-making or his scheme.

I was a fan of hiring both Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio as the coordinators, but I worry about losing them if Sirianni gets fired. I think the Eagles could really benefit from less coaching staff turnover. Much, if not all, of the coaching staff remained the same from 2021-2022. Losing both coordinators and Dennard Wilson (DBs coach) last year sucked and then they brought in new coordinators and several new position coaches.

Dare I say, I’d almost love for this team to run it back with the same coaches next year, but there’s still a lot of time left for this team to prove that idea laughable. I think this upcoming stretch of games against the Commanders, Rams, and Ravens will tell us a lot about this team.
