I once didn’t wake up when the fire alarms in our house went off in the middle of the night because of a battery or it was malfunctioning, and my parents came up to my room to check on me lol

Also when I was in high school, I fell asleep after getting home. My dad accidentally shot the TV putting a laser sight on his handgun because he didn’t turn the safety off and it didn’t wake me up. (FYI this was probably around the time he started developing depression and becoming an alcoholic but I don’t know for a fact if it contributed, he’s otherwise been a safe gun owner)

I have however shot a hole in my hat with a 30/06 tho. Planned and on a range

 

someone at my work today set off the fire alarms cause I guess they hit a sprinkler

that was a cool 20 minute extra break we got

 

Yeah I know. I think the drepression and alcoholism probably did contribute but we didn’t know that it was happening at the time. He didn’t go to rehab until my last year in undergrad.

He’s relapsed since and did a second stint but he actually wanted to do it that time around and he’s been sober for almost two years, just to end on a better note.

 

Glad there’s some positivity there!
