over the last 20 years i burned (almost) every bridge i built.

it's been pretty isolating having (almost) no one to talk to about this stuff, save for my best friend and a select few who get pretty tired of me easily.

So, this whole thing kinda seems like that. Guy comes into thread that is close knit, doesn't fit in, keeps trying, but it's not working and it just feels awkward and I don't like it because it reminds me of what I did. And I really did want to have fun with them all, but it just wasn't working

Personally, I think if multiple people are telling you "hey, maybe chill a bit? You're coming in wayyyyyyy too hot and acting wayyyyyy too familiar and being obnoxious" and you just kinda shrug emoji and share a gif, I don't really know what to do. My thing more than anything else at this point is I'm just too tired to like...try? It's not my job to analyze people I don't really know and explain why their behavior is off-putting to people. I've done enough of that and despite good faith efforts, those behaviors never once change, not for a second.

So at this point it's just easier for me to block someone if I'm not enjoying their posts or interacting with them.

I do think I'ma unblock though but I also don't think if you're blocked you should take it personally, at the end of the day we're online and curating what we want to see in our spare time on the internet, not making a full judgment on someone as a person

I only blocked because of something I saw in a different thread that rubbed me the wrong way, not because of posting style or anything like that
