I think if you have a young Rookie QB who's flashing, like Maye, or FLASHING like Daniels, investing early and often in anything that can help is a good plan. The Commies have 5 wins more than I guessed they'd have already this season. You gotta reward that by showing the same buy-in.

If I'm the Patriots I am harassing the Panthers until they give me Moton for a 3rd. I know OL and especially OT doesn't often move mid-season but you gotta do your best to keep Drake upright so the reps he's getting are meaningful.

 

Yeah, I appreciate them at least being active during the trade deadline. No need to go all out or anything tho.

It's still a rebuilding year and I have no expectations (but would obviously love for them to continue winning and maybe get to the second round in the playoffs or something).

one of my least favorite phrases in sports is when people say that a team is playing with 'house money'. the commanders are playing with house money this season. this was a season they were probably supposed to come in 3rd in the division and they might just win it. Win or lose this season youve gotta be happy as a fan and the expectations should be heavy in the offseason, but that said in a division where now your only real competition is philly i think you have to be a little aggressive at the deadline because theres no reason why this commanders team cant get to the divisional round.

 

Been feeling kind of shitty in the mornings lately. Sort of like flu-like from the shoulders up (aka no bodyaches or much beyond sinus/throat irritation and mild headache) in the morning before it gradually goes away.

It comes while I'm going off one med, starting another, and experiencing 40 degree weather at night with windows open, so I'm not really able to pinpoint the cause so easily lol. could also be my poor sleep is finally catching up to me.

Coming into the season, all I hoped for was that Jayden would show potential for being a franchise QB and that maybe they would be more fun (or less miserable).

I do not like when there are expectations on a team lol. ruins a lot of the fun.

 

that price is a bit high imo especially when you consider KC's track record of developing later round DB talent

 

but also every move KC makes in service of the potential threepeat so maybe they should have done it

Agreed and I get the move for the Commanders. I saw they have also been looking for WR help and thought Mike Williams would have been an interesting fit for them
