I mean, they did just lay off like a 1000 dudes from the FAA today...so, its gonna get real bad soon. Of the crashes that have happened, only the DC one is abnormal/could have been prevented by people not being idiots...but, we're definitely not going on a decade long streak without commercial crashes.

Anyone have any tips for how to get rid of static electric /shock? I’ve got TWO humidifiers going, dryers sheets all over the place and I still fuckin’ Pikachu the fuck out of a few light switches in my apartment from like a foot away.

How old is your apartment?

This happens around my house and my office building (which is an old church). Both are over 100 years old and the wires kinda deteriorate over time to cause this sometimes.

I think this building is only like 30-40 years old. I think my patio door is a bit more drafty than years before because it’s usually the light switches closest to that bedroom / part of my apartment. Of course it also doesn’t help that it’s goddamn -20 out with constant wind but starting to get ptsd from all the shocks. I basically wrap my hand in a towel/short before using them lmao
