This doesn’t need a response but if anyone’s curious here is why I say Balt is bigger and more self-sustaining and more culturally distinct / entertainment rich outside of DC than Pat seems to assume it is.

in tldr form, yes from a purely economical standpoint Charlotte is worth more money than Baltimore, because its finance industry and burgeoning tech industry almost single-handedly jumps their median incomes and thus the target home prices that sellers try to attain. I understood his side of the argument.

But that wasn’t my point to begin with. If I moved to Charlotte my salary’s not jumping 50% so I can’t afford 50% more rent if I hustle harder. For ME subjectively / in context, that’s not worth going to another city in roughly the same tier as the city I’m currently in. That was my only point and I feel like Pat and I could’ve understood each other if he didn’t go the “talking out of your ass” angle and take it personally that I think $700k is too much for a house, and just matter of factly stated “well salaries are higher here cause of finance jobs and also new tech jobs.”

I wish yall could understand why constantly knee jerk being treated like that gets on my nerves and makes me want to show you that I know what I’m speaking about. We didn’t even need to argue about it if he could respect that I was coming from a different angle than a family who works in law and has a daughter haha

 

Think I'm still tired from working Valentines Day lol normally there's 5-6 guys in meat + seafood but due to staffing and callouts we had a combined two people. The security guard at one point hopped back to help lol
