Yeah one of the biggest scams is having a front yard. Having a backyard for the dogs though is a must

 

we have a pretty big one currently but i’ll be getting a 4K one for my office since the ps5 will be going in there

 

I definitely just wanna sit my ass outside on a patio/porch/yard without having to do small talk with my neighbors about the weather

 

we’ll have a nice front porch and a screened in lanai at the new house which i’m excited for

 

Screened-in porch is the dream for me

 

i’m sorry that i got annoying with him but it is frustrating to post a Big Life Event thing and have a guy be a dumbass about it for no reason

 

We had all of this in Austin then we had that random snow/freeze situation. 5 of 8 trees basically came apart and branches smashed our shared fence on both sides and ...my fire pit got crushed.

I also had this tool cabinet built-in on the side of the house and it always had snakes or spiders or some bullshit in it that I just do not want to ever deal with.

Never again.

 

I have a slab patio and no trees now. Perfect space for my small Blackstone, some tiki torches, and limited bugs/snakes.

 

I like my yard now but if I have to do any sort of landscaping I’m going to hate it. I don’t mind cutting the grass though. I usually listen to Nirvana and get it done in less than an hour.

I will say on the yard thing, I do make sure to budget in ahead of time paying someone else to mow the lawn. By far my least favorite chore of them all.

 

same, our front porch isn't screened in. it's great earlier in the summer and late in the fall, but the mosquitos are absolutely dreadful when they come around.

 

Cleaning the shower/bathtub is the worst chore easily

 

I personally don't mind this one too much, but it's probably because I do it often because of the kids so it's normally pretty quick and painless.

 

vacuuming sucks...

 

I feel like there’s not an easy way to do it and by the time I’m done my back hurts like crazy. Would rather clean the dang toilet than the bathtub.

Making the bed sucks because you know you’re just going to get back in it and it’s not like anyone else is going to see it in the meantime

folding laundry is the worst because it’s tedious

 

did you forget to swap to the burner?

 

I like making the bed because few things feel better than getting into a made bed

 

When I lived by myself I never made the bed. I also don’t mind folding laundry cause I just listen to music or a podcast and get it done.

 

i don't have a burner, but now i can only assume there are burners that are just liking themselves.

 

I enjoyed having a lawn for the first 5ish years of having it, then one crabgrass situation/endless sprinkler problems have turned it into an uphill battle every season. Now I hate having a lawn. Backyard is fine though.

 

our yard currently has a pretty steep incline, it will be nice to have a flat yard to mow again

 

Least favorite chore is cleaning the garage. It's too cold or it's too hot and there are spiders out there. Rest of the chores are whatever.
