Probably not but they just do it really really well. I’ve been to like 12 fried chicken places in the city and there was only 2-3 that were just ok. The others were from very good to best fried chicken I’ve ever had

I’ve had it at Mary Mac’s and Wisteria from this list and both were super good

but also like, fuckin DINERS make amazing fried chicken. There’s also fried chicken stands that just exist everywhere, in food courts, off the side of the Beltline walking/biking trail etc. you 100% do not need to go to a restaurant for it. It’s street food in Atlanta

 

it's hella expensive, but we have some good coffee and there's a new raising canes that got put in a year or two ago... and i live here and i'm awesome you just have to get to know me

 

I will admit though one of my favorite fried chicken spots in ATL is Harold’s Chicken and Waffles and that’s actually from Chicago (but it checks out, I mean, it’s another city with very strong black culture lol)
