Texans are definitely pathetic about the cold but one of my kids has an extreme aversion to jeans/pants and only wears shorts, and it annoys me to no end when we have to go out in cold weather and he still wants to wear shorts and I just know everyone on earth will judge me if I let him have his way and then it becomes a whole ordeal

 

I remember going to Florida once in January and it was in the 60s. We were in shorts while some of the locals were wearing parkas.

I'll be honest sometimes I wear shorts just because of how warm I am if I know I'll mostly be inside
