my issue is Jags fans will say this but then not accept any criticism of the Christian Kirk contract

he’s gonna get cut or restructured and we’re gonna lose money over it when we could’ve just paid him normal money for a guy who was never more than “competing for WR3” before us, and been able to save money when his multiple long injuries derailed what could’ve been better-than-expected performance across his deal.

it’s that but we did the same thing over and over. With Cam Robinson until we finally let him go. With Brandon Scherff whose last good years clearly were behind him. To a lesser extent, with Gabe Davis whos proven he’s bad enough to cut right now but we can’t for at least another year and even then it’s with money guaranteed to him regardless

 

I still like the decision to extend Trevor but that’s not based in fact so much as an eye-test feeling that he’s not the problem.

I like the Tyson Campbell pick and extension.

I like several of Baalke’s draft picks. Lloyd, Anton Harrison, Brian Thomas Jr, we def made some good choices in there between the bad ones. And even taking Travon Walker, not the best choice, probably a miss not to take Hutch, but we still got somebody who’s been at times very good so far.

credit where it’s due, but you can’t make more bad moves than good ones and not eventually take the blame several years later
