Sure, Mahomes can score fast and is absurdly talented and my guy. I just think that in the situation where you're up as much as the Eagles were, their ability to maintain the run and wear down the Chiefs was much more important than Mahomes's ability to attack, and when comparing that to the Pats coming back from 28-3, THAT was what made it impossible for Atlanta to keep Brady away

My point is more that 28-3 deep into the 3rd against what was the best offense in football is comparably bleak a scenario as 27-0 deep into the 3rd against the Eagles this year.

 

I just really think we knew what kind of team the Chiefs were this year, they showed it plenty, and a lot of our thoughts of "they're gonna win this" before the game is because of precedence of past seasons, not the current season performances. Current season performances showed that the Eagles were a much more talented team and could win much more easily

Not to say you should just give up but I do think that was the vibe at that moment in time

But everyone knows Matt Ryan's biggest flaw has always been being allergic to the end zone in the playoffs and that's something that keeps him from putting games away. That isn't new to the 28-3 team, it happened in 2012 vs Kaepernick as well with comparable weapons on the team

I'm talking about a specific skill which is the skill to put away the game. The Eagles have that, the Falcons under Matt Ryan have almost never had that, and that wasn't new information during that Super Bowl
