It was absolutely bananas. And it's just always like this. I basically see my parents once a month, FaceTime them once a week, and still it's the passive aggressive "we haven't heard from ya in a bit." Shit.

My brother is a single dude who works for himself and still thinks it makes sense for things to operate around his schedule.

And I'm just absolutely fucking exhausted by all of it.

I haven't listened to a TON of Pearl Jam, but when I think about them, I certainly don't think "can't understand anything that guy says"

 

My sister started doing a thing that I think she saw on TikTok, where she just texts random updates on her day to family members to see how long they can take it. Things like "going to the movies" and "just checked the mail!" I feel like you could do this to your parents and see how much they want to see you or feel like they haven't heard from you after that

 

I don't either but I love how upset it's making Pat right now (sorry Pat)
