I saw The Menzingers twice in 2015. They did a co-headliner with mewithoutYou that Pianos Become The Teeth and Restorations opened for. PBTT and mwY ruled and then, like, half the crowd left for before The Menzingers. They were fine, but it was definitely a step down from how good PBTT and mwY were. Then I saw them do an acoustic show at a brewery at the end of the year and I honestly forgot all about it until a few months ago lol

 

Yeah Menzingers is good but PBTT and MWY are next level

 

I love PBTT. Easily one of the best live bands to me. I’m always so impressed with how tight they sound and how much energy they bring live. Dave is on a whole new level live. I will never forget seeing them on the Drift tour in 2022 and all the shit he pulled off on Ripple Water Shine. I got chills man. Just such a special moment in time for me

Definitely find myself listening to their more recent stuff though. I love The Lack Long After and it’s definitely an all-timer for me, but I’m not often in the mood for screamo stuff anymore and they really did such a phenomenal job on that album that I’m never in the mood to listen to Old Pride
