I’m just expressing preferences haha. The more grungy sound doesn’t typically appeal to me (but of course there can be exceptions). Even when music gets dirty and heavy I tend to prefer a throaty shout to a guttural growl in all but a few contexts, like there are some growly metal bands that are just sick and pique my interest regardless, but generally I very consistently get more desire to relisten to stuff that leans punk/indie/hardcore rather than grunge/metal, largely because of how I prefer vocals and guitar tones to sound. Again this is just speaking generally not an every-time rule

 

I am a huge Nirvana fan if yall didn’t know but I have to skip heart shaped box every time it comes on. I think guitar hero ruined it for me.
