Today I was at the pet store buying cat food.

The cashier asked me something which I didn’t really hear but I assumed she was offering me to sign up for a rewards program. I gave a firm “No!”

My wife was glaring at me and I then shortly realized the cashier, a 16 year old girl, actually asked me: “do you have a kitten?” in which I replied “No!” … while buying 8 cans of food labeled “kitten food.”

I will think of this until I die.

 

I also just have this thing where I need every retail worker or server or anyone to like me. So I sometimes get socially anxious, however, I think I can blame this time on one of the other pet store employees who was covered in CRICKETS and that may have distracted me
