you aren’t a real shitter

 

it is easy to just say you aren’t that into wine and are unwilling to pay money for a good bottle, which to be fair some of you did, and keep it moving. everything randall said is 100% correct. the one thing i’ll say though is that wine can be so specific to the drinker vs. beer or liquor and so, while it does sound like he’s good at his job, any sommelier can run into the issue of even if the wine sounds *great* it can still just be something that the drinker doesn’t like. and st the price point of wine, that kinda sucks lol.

we are part of a wine club from when we did a vineyard tour when we went out to cali so we get a lot of bottles way marked down from the member discount and buying in bulk but the last time i went to a bottle shop the sommelier recommended a $75 pinot noir that tasted like dogshit and i picked up an extra $50 chianti that rocked

 

i am generally adverse to being “sold to” though, even if i end up picking stuff roughly as expensive on my own. we went to a wine pairing dinner the other week, obviously picked by a sommelier, but i picked a few glasses off the menu that i knew i would enjoy more along with a few of the recommended pairings and the dude was such a little geek about it. guess what, i knew i’d enjoy them and i did. you got basically the same amount of money out of me. buzz off twerp.

I had two focal bangers and a heady topper last night and felt it this morning lol.

Anytime is fine when the ice is good but since it’s been warmer we had to drive an hour or so north for safer ice

I know no one cares but between the three of us, weve caught about 25 each of these crappies so far and almost the same for blue gills.
