Just had a very awkward interaction with one of our new student workers in which I helped her with something and handed her a pen that I had picked up from a random desk. She then brought it to my office to return it and I just said "that's not mine" and then there was an awkward silence before I finally said, "but I guess I'll take it" and she backed out of my office.
