My controversial take on the hall of fame is that it's got the word fame in it. Eli Manning absolutely deserves to make it. He was a staple of the Giants for 16 years, and if you think Giants football, you're going to think of Eli Manning for a long time to come. I'm more of a 'will we remember this player for a long time?' and if so, they're in. I'm not going to over analyze every single stat line.

Phillip Rivers / Matt Ryan / Eli Manning, stick them all in.

 

Slater and Vinatieri gonna get in on the same ballot and nature will finally be healed.

Yeah I don’t really think Edelman needs to be in the HOF despite him being an awesome WR for this team and a really cool story to get to that point.

Not a ton 7th round drafted QB’s turned special teamer turn into a legit WR. And that’s cool. But HOF??? It’s close but I’d lean no

I think Matt Ryan should start off with a lot of votes and almost make it in, but at the last second just totally blow it and miss the threshold.

If @xbrokendownx ever got to watch a 7th round pick turn into a 3x Super Bowl champion, 1x Super Bowl MVP, play in all three phases of the game etc etc etc, his twins would have both been named after them lol

 

100% agreed. Perfect example of a dude who was probably better most seasons, but, never got it done when it mattered.

if Skylar Thompson beat the Bills 2 years ago in the playoffs like he almost did, I think I would have had some decisions to make

 

When I read his name I pictured Mike Glennon, that's how nothing he is to me

 

Personal bias because I live in Atlanta (not a falcons fan!) so I will give up that one up if the national perspective overrules it. I have no connection to the Chargers expect thinking that Rivers is up there with the best to never win it (or even really sniff it).

 

I have a soft spot for Rivers, he’s one of those QBs that unfortunately played in the golden age of QBs so his individual accolades never piled up
