I've pretty much always been a loner. Always had a few very close friends but when those faded just due to moves across country (them)/marriages/families, etc. I've just never gained new friendships. My wife and I have been together for over 20 years at this point and had a lot of the same friends growing up, but other than my one buddy who I haven't gone to his house, I have another friend I text about once a month that I've known since I was in first grade and a few others that are like every now and then convos, but mostly nothing because they're either single or have kids that are older or younger than mine.

Most of the time I do not care about it. Sometimes I do. It would be nice to have people to hang out with regularly

 

i sent a way better picture on new years eve and josh uses that one smh

 

You guys are all in here talking about hating being social and yet you're in this thread being social!

 

But, hey, some office down the hall just had a huge breakfast spread and I got some bacon and french toast and some roasted potatoes, so life is pretty good

IN MY DEFENSE. I love my friend to death and he knows if he actually needs something, I would be there, but he is a full blown alcoholic with no desire to stop (he knows this, we talk about it) and has no kids/no relationship and complains about everything. We have known each other for 30 years and see each other semi-regularly and text multiple times a week. I'm the only one who listens to his problems and am on record as the only friend who has never actively avoided him/given up on him, etc.

I just haven't made the 45 minute drive to his house

 

I got donuts this morning because Josh didn't give me any like he promised

earlier in the summer we had a neighbor kid always come by asking to cut the grass, and we’ve always been at work/gone etc. now when I wouldn’t mind if he shoveled the little rascal is MIA??? kids have no sense of work ethic

 

i have good hair but i wish it looked better long.
