Im inclined to agree. I always kinda chuckle when the people screaming “organize!” At me are some of the least organized, least concise people I’ve ever encountered.

 

People hated Mahomes for a while

I was bummed by the idea of Mahomes at first during the leadup to draft and then became slowly obsessed with him. Was so bummed the Chiefs moved up for him and the Texans got stuck with Watson

Yeah I learned quick I just gotta be upfront about that because Laura's from New England and people up there do not shut the fuck up but are also receptive to shutting the fuck up and people down here are passive as all hell so I just had to break out of being passive and be like "hey I need to rest"

Yeah you can’t just tell your wife the classic southern US “welp, let me let you go” and make it seem like it was her idea to be quiet like you can with a houseguest lol

 

And people in New England / northeast in general are so used to people being direct that they will not get the “hint”, they literally need you to interrupt them and be like “hey let’s talk about this later I need quiet for a minute”

 

Yeah, and even when I want to be social it can be difficult, every dinner with Laura and her mom is a game of "try to get a single word in about anything"

 

And I talk slow so I'm frequently interpreted as being done with a sentence way earlier than I ever intended and therefore interrupted
