I see no reason to split threads tbh
It’s not like we never talk football. The thread doesn’t have to be 24/7 only football talk. If that was the case a lot of other threads will need to be split too anytime it gets off topic

My personal opinion: I think that if we were to maintain our regular level of posting, I would actually like to break out into a different thread. My attachment to the NFL lately is solely through y'all and it'd be nice for me to be able to just leave it behind and only shitpost and not really be exposed to things I don't care about as much. But people who care about that stuff do still need a place to post about it. I do worry though about the amount of confusing conversations that might happen due to "oh I thought I was in x thread" when people who are in the exact same 2 threads are responding to each other in each thread. But I don't mind having our shitposting extravaganzas in a different thread in the end of the day. That doesn't mean we SHOULD do it, I logistically do not know what is best. But as a poster I don't mind it
