I don't understand how its still strictly a southern thing. Like sweet tea. Makes no sense

when I worked at chipotle we made the iced tea every morning and only the southern stores could make the sweet tea. We weren’t allowed to make it and put it out.

all closed down a few months before I moved there in 2015. there was one at the mall across the street from my first apartment there too :brokenheart:

friend had to meet their partner up there and we had talked about doing it for years, so it kind of all lined up lol

Companion was a lot of fun.

Seriously considering maybe moving up to Seattle now (once current lease lapses) even if I still work at my current job. Got my early renewal letter from apartment and I just think of how much cheaper it would be for me to move. no state income tax and 300+ cheaper monthly rent.

Yeah, it really shows that it wasnt mean as a movie at first...so many random characters introduced early on that you never see again. And the music is BAD.

Short answer is most other places have money, so they found fancier ways of doing the same stuff...and the remaining places that are as poor as the historical south (see: rural midwest), the flavor used to cook most things would overwhelm their bland ass palate.

That said, I am a little surprised that boiled peanuts havent broken out, since they're kinda bland themselves.
