Philly transit sucks and it’s kinda dirty and cramped in places but eh that’s the trade off of a city that’s actually down to earth and amenable to working class people. I accept the same trade off to a lesser extent in Baltimore. I still prefer it to cities that are designed to keep poor people out and extremely gentrified.

there are rumors of a team coming when manfred approves expansion. i think it’ll be raleigh though. charlotte already has one of the bigger triple aaa teams and would have to sell out that team and expand the park, which i dont see them doing, because there isnt enough real estate for two baseball parks in the city

durham has the bulls obviously but you could put a team either downtown raleigh or carrboro and they’d be able to sustain it even though its a tiny market

 

also i think there’s worry that there are too many atlanta fans in the southeast for there to be another team people would give a shit. i personally dislike that argument, fuck the braves, but i at least understand it

Yes. Mid Atlantic weather is a perfect, evenly-split four seasons. DC Baltimore and Philly all get that benefit from me

It’s not that I think the food is BAD it’s a major city there’s obviously good restaurants, but like, it’s not like DC / NOLA where every single place you go to is amazing haha & cheesesteaks being the biggest “local food” is kinda weak even though I do enjoy them
