I don’t get to operate west of DFW yet so I’m sure there are some better/worse ones out that way. Charlotte has probably the best food though in terms of variety and number of options.

 

IAD over DCA is extreme sacrilege

 

Dulles is way too big & takes forever to do security and is also in a dumb part of the DC area that’s either an hour metro ride or a long drive on a toll road through lots of traffic from actual DC

 

Philly is not a good airport

I agree the location of Dulles is annoying, beyond that it seems okay though? What don’t you like about it?

I fucking hate DCA, none of the ramp crew is where they are supposed to be and if a single snowflake falls the airport completely breaks down, which is unacceptable for an airport that regular sees snow, in my opinion. The food in DCA is miles better than IAD though.

Hard for me to tell really as I can skip the lines, but it seems like the worst security of Philly is in D and E terminals? The other lines have never LOOKED that bad to me, but I’ve never had to wait in them. The food is good there and it’s smooth operating in/out of there. I go to DCA and CLT a lot so maybe it is just a scenario of it not being as bad as them? Lol

 

I completely forgot Chicago in my worst rankings as well. Fuck that airport

 

Dulles is also way too expensive to fly into from what I've seen

BWI and DCA prices were way better when I was shopping

 

Zachs ranking of airports is the one i would trust the most

I think he has the best understanding of airports for sure but he also likely gets passes to bypass things that inconvenience us more so it's more "different"

Just huge and overwhelming. I hate having to go to a whole different building for security checkpoint than for ticketing. And I cannot stress enough how much the location makes me never ever wanna fly out of there lol. Driving in northern Virginia SUCKS and the tolls are very expensive. You gotta add at least an extra hour to your usual airport formula

DC actually doesn’t see snow that regularly, I’d say Baltimore is the “line” where you start getting 3+ snows per year. Some years DC doesn’t snow at all

the food and the more manageable size, and the ultra convenient location with its own DC metro stop that’s not far at all from central DC, make it miles better to me

 

Dulles doesn’t serve Coca Cola products so they’re immediately bottom tier

 

Dulles more like Dull-es

 

That whole part of VA is hell to me lol

Fairfax and Alexandria are alright if you have the stupid money to afford it, miss me with the rest of northern VA
