I think Gyllenhaal could be really great he just doesn’t seem to get or take the roles to show it. Same with Gosling. He said he wanted to stop doing the more serious shit because of his family.

 

Spotlight he's at least a 1A if you wanna call it an ensemble.

 

when he goes for it like in prisoners he’s incredible and stuff like ambulance is incredible in a dumb fun way. i don’t really care about some of the performances people love though

nightcrawler is too much Im Acting for me, i agree with the others and would also include the presumed innocent series

i’m glad it seems that there’s a new generation of movie stars who can actually act again. the superhero industrial complex really knocked out an entire generation of actors. no one between bale/gyllenhaal and, like, timmee can even really be in the conversation as a great actor

 

I’m sad we haven’t gotten to see more of Mahershala Ali because of the stupid MCU because he’s been fantastic as well

 

i like hemsworth in a lot of stuff and bradley cooper is good when he directs himself but no one from, like, 40-28 right now is going to be mentioned as an all timer actor

 

but i could see if they play their careers right austin butler, jacob elordi, josh o’connor, etc. being right there with timmee as Great Actors

 

id like adam driver to start picking some better projects as well
