I took an acting class in college and the first assignment was pair up with someone and stare into their eyes and picture someone you know.

I didn’t get anything out of the assignment, but the girl I was paired up with pictured her deceased relative and started balling her eyes out extensively for 15 straight minutes while staring into my eyes.
