My worst quality as a human being is how much more often I want players in sports to fight each other

I hate people on rival teams being friends even though it is all a business and really they SHOULD be friends because loyalty is stupid, I hated it when Mookie and Aaron Judge were buddy buddy between Sox/Yankees. I want players to target each other and knock each other's lights out when they hate each other (in a non-brain-damage-y way)

i agree so much with this but whenever i see a hockey fight i roll my eyes so hard. hockey fights always look so fuckin dumb. oh lemme throw my gloves off and hug you for 30 seconds before the ref puts me in timeout.

 

Yeah I think I like it the most in something like baseball where you really have to go out of your way to start it, it definitely feels scripted and silly in hockey (but I still like it but it does look stupid)

 

baseball fights rule because the umpires are so old and dumb and slow that you get a good amount of action before anyone actually steps in.

i do think bullpens running in for bench clearing brawls is dumb as hell though. stay put. nobody needs you.

 

I like "we hate each other" rivalries but I also like when players drop the act once in awhile to be like "damn boi, good play! I thought we had that"

you ain't gotta like the other team to still be like "damn, respect". Game recognize game.

 

I mean this respectfully, but when I hear about your life I think "holy fuck would that stress me the fuck out."

 

I like that because then a player like Pedro Baez who has never exhibited athleticism is running out there and the fight is over by the time he gets there which is funny to me
